Trained and Registered as a Counselling Psychologist, Safia specializes in training and facilitation, assessments and consulting. These modalities often complement each other as it provides clients optimum opportunity to enhance self awareness, learning and personal effectiveness. The focus during consulting is on facilitating personal, interpersonal and career development of individuals and groups. Often utilizing assessments as part of selection, development and/or business consulting, valuable future directives are highlighted which serve as tools to individuals, groups and organizations. Safia is passionate about leadership development as this entails unleashing untapped potential which can enrich the lives of individuals, those they deal with on a daily basis and increasing organizational health and effectiveness, ultimately contributing to a better South Africa. The aim of her work is mainly focused on creating self-awareness, identifying strengths and future focus areas and directing personal development plans through a process of consultation and dialogue with employees/candidates.

Her work is aimed at achieving development and growth objectives through drawing from principles and techniques associated with: Accelerated Learning, Adult and Organizational Learning, Person-Centred, Solution Focused, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. This enables challenging and replacing unproductive beliefs, thoughts and behaviour, focusing on goal setting, behaviour change and enhancing personal/interpersonal effectiveness which is particularly vital in developing the leader within each client.

Professional Background
Safia completed her studies at the University of Durban Westville in 2002, during which time she had the opportunity to engage with staff as to support them in a pro-active manner as to add to sustainable productivity and health. Thereafter, she started consulting and has worked with various companies and organisations in the private and public sector. Her brief with each of these organisations was assisting client companies with identifying, unleashing and fulfilling potential of their staff and clients.
